These Terms govern registration, bidding, private-sale purchases and settlement with the House of Zilbershlag (“the House”, “we”, “us”). By registering an account, placing a bid or reserving a piece, you accept these Terms in full.

1. Registration & eligibility

Participation requires a verified account created through Google sign-in. You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate, complete registration details — full legal name, telephone, full postal address and a valid national ID or passport number. You are responsible for the accuracy of these details and for all activity under your account. Each person may hold one account.

2. How the auctions work

The House offers daily and weekly timed auctions. Each lot displays a current bid, a minimum increment and a closing time. You may place a bid at or above the next increment, or leave a maximum bid, in which case the system bids on your behalf up to that maximum.

All bids are binding and irrevocable. The highest valid bid at the close of a lot wins. The House may extend a lot’s closing time where a bid is placed in its final moments.

3. Private sale

Certain pieces are offered for immediate purchase at a fixed price (“private sale”). Reserving a private-sale piece creates a binding commitment to acquire it at the stated price, subject to settlement as below. You may instead submit an offer, which the House may accept or decline at its discretion.

4. Buyer’s premium & settlement

A buyer’s premium of 22% is added to the hammer price of auction lots. Applicable taxes and duties are additional and are the buyer’s responsibility.

5. Non-payment — permanent removal

Winning a lot or reserving a private-sale piece is a binding purchase. If a buyer fails to settle in full within the stated period:

• the account is permanently removed from the House and may not re-register;
• the House may re-offer or otherwise dispose of the piece;
• the House may recover any resulting shortfall, together with storage, handling and reasonable costs.

6. Condition & provenance

Every piece is sold “as is”. Descriptions, estimates and images are statements of opinion, not warranties. Condition and provenance notes are available on request; buyers are encouraged to review them before bidding. Estimates are guides only and do not include the buyer’s premium.

7. Delivery & collection

Once settled, pieces are delivered by insured worldwide shipping or made available for collection, as arranged with the collection office. Risk passes to the buyer on delivery or collection. Shipping and insurance costs are additional.

8. Withdrawal & errors

The House may withdraw any lot before its close, refuse or cancel a bid, and correct manifest errors in a listing or price at any time.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the House is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Israel have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
